Hey All

This past week has been an adventure of Surfing, and River Kayaking! The Cobble Hill group did our last wrap up service/reflection of the Bridge. It was very sad knowing it would be our last one. It is such a foreign thing to have a Sunday evening off to just sit and relax.
As for the week, we spent the first 3 days out in the Pacific Rim surfing and just enjoying each others company, in a small cramped church out there. Mind you I had to escape to keep from going insane and claustrophobic. I get grumpy when I am confined. As well though some of us went on a hike out to the blowhole and watched the wave shoot vertically upward and almost drench Danial. Good old Wet coast for ya.
Later in the week we had a concert with the Band Jezreel for all of the youth groups that us Kaleo have been working with this past year. It was a lot of fun. I got out of my shell a bit and was up there jumping around with the kids to get them all energized. It was really cool too cause one of the band membered was a old time friend from kindergarden. It was really nice to see her again and see where she was at in life.
Saturday a group of us went out to the Cow River and spent our morning kayaking down the "white water" lol it wasn't very scary river kayaking, more of a leisurely cruse down the river but at the same time it was nice to be out on the river cruzing around with some friends. The dry suites that we wore made us all look like space people. I love the outdoors.
Now this is me sending well one of my last posts before I am done here at Kaleo. One more in a weeks time and that will be it for the Kaleocontinuum. The next step in life is home for a little while and off to Imadene yet again for summer. After that, is up to God.

Hey All

So the Epic Adventure is over. We finished out last stretch of the trip out on Copper Island. The Island is located a hours boat ride out of Uculet through the Broken Island Group, found between that and Bamfield Provincial park. It was so gorgeous boating out to the island. The Island itself was very beautiful as well. The camp was definately in a state of construction as we were helping them build the new chapel building and then just cleaning and setting up some of the other buildings back the way they should be for this coming summer.
I spent my time working as a apprentace alongside two electritions that were there, working on getting the chapel all wired up. It was a lot of fun and a cool experience since I have been contemplating on taking a apprentiship in electrical engineering.
Deb and Kylee ended up hauling wood from the saw mill and putting that into piles the whole time and Maylane cleaned the kitchen to a nice shine. I have to say, It was a very enjoyable time working and physically at that. Don't get too much of that at camp here.
We did some fun stuff while there too. I took a tone of pictures, we fished, crabed, prawned and collected oisters. I tried a raw prawn and ate a oister. We also feasted on lots of crab. Eventually my stomach couldn't handle all of this sea food and I got a bad stomach ache as a result.

Now we are all back and reunited with one another. Right back into our schooling, with classes during the day and lots and lots of homework in the evenings. Man this course is a lot heavier than any of the others. At least in the reading department.

Hey All

Vancouver was a blast and a crazy busy one at that. We stayed with Jenny and Carla at the Inner Hope House. The week went by so fast with all the things we were up to. They kept us busy from the beginning of the week to the very end.
UGM was one of the many things that we were involved with during the week. This was a center for the homeless to come and get a free meal but before they were aloud to eat their meal, they listened to a sermon. Us the Kaleo got to run two of the services. The first one was on the Monday and we kind of just followed along and played some music for the homeless. The second time around though we did it all on our own. I did a sermon on James 1:22-25 about not just listening to God’s advise but actually applying it to our lives. To help get the point across I had a visual illustration, filling a jar with rocks and sand to represent our lives and then there was water and by pouring the water into the jar it explained how God has to absorb into our whole lives and not just be off to the side. The Girls led us in some Music and a questionnaire about how God has taking some of our downfalls and done his work with them.
Another one of the ministries that we were involved in was with the kids at ‘Say Yes’. This was a after school program that the first nations kids would come to after school to get some extra work done and also some much needed care. It was so much fun hanging out with the kids and just being examples for them. The kids were a huge challenge but for sure worth every minute of time we spent hanging out with them. These kids just needed someone in their lives to show that they cared for them and man was it cool to share that with them.
Besides all the ministries that we helped out with there was a lot of work to do at the house. We reorganized the garage so that the kids could go down there and play on the pool table again. As well now they can store more things for people down there. Painting though was the theme of our whole week at the house =P Every day was dedicated to painting a portion of the house.
I could go on and on about the kids that we got to hang out with and be involved with but that could take forever. Thanks for reading and when you get to see me next ask me about it and I could give you story after story about just Vancouver. Now we are headed off to Uculet for the next stretch of our adventure. Keep up the prayers, they are always needed.

Hey All

So when I was thinking what I would share with you this past week, I really didn't know what I wanted to share. When I first looked at it not a whole lot did happen besides everyone was doing a whole lot of homework. The K group hasn't gone on any new extreme adventures in the past while, so things may not seem to exciting. But when I look back on this past little while there still has been a fair amount going on.
In the subtle going about's of this past week I did see a lot happening. Not in just my life but that of the others around me. Lets see, well to start with some of the things the others have been up to, the guys have been struggling to get a lot of their work done and even in the midst of this stress it has been a great opportunity for me to teach and help out. I have been able to go around and aid the other Kaleo in their papers and assignments having finished mine earlier. It was really good being able to share with them and to give them ideas to start them off when they have been frustrated and stumped. It has also encouraged me in not just my own paper but then to look more into the others papers and their perspectives that come out in them. It is good to feel needed and when people apricate your help. I love to give it, even if Im not a all star paper writer.
As well We had a Baptism this past week, actually yesterday. Two Baptisms at that! Shannon and her Fionce John got Baptised together down here at the Qwanoes beach. I have to say they are very commited to get Baptised in that near freezing water, as well as near freezing conditions outside. All of us around were watching and listening while trying to bite back the cold. We were all bundled up too and them in nothing but their wet suites and tshirts.
It was really awesome to hear the testamonies of the two, Shannon and John. It was the second time for us Kaleo to hear Shannons but that didn't take away any of the significancy of it. While hearing Johns testamony for the very first time was really amazing and a look into the life he used to live and now how much he has changed and grown just in this short period of time. I love to see the two of them together in such a way proclaiming together their faith in Christ. It really encourages me.
I for one have been thinking about Baptism for a long time. Anyone who knows me would already know my confession to living for Christ and I hope would keep me accountable to that. But even with that I look to one day in the near future to get Baptised in a public confession infront of not just family and friends but anyone who cares to be a witness to that. I don't know when I will do this but I have a feeling it will be soon... maybe not in this year of Kaleo, maybe not even in this year at Imadene, but I think some time back at home. Back at home. I want to do it when God is calling me to do it, right now just doesn't seem to be the time. I will keep you all posted when it will go down though! And it will go down.

Right now I just want to ask for everyone's prayer according to the missins trips that will be happening with the K group starting in a week from now. For money, for those who are still cutting close to the funds they need. For nerve of those who don't know if they are ready for this cultural clash, or how they will react in it. For health and wellness of those who arn't physically quite where they want to be, especially Tom for his leg and that God will use us how we come. God uses the weak of this world and the insignificant to show his wonder.

Thanks for reading
God Bless

Hey All

A new haircut, a shave and a week later...
It has been a very relaxing weekend and good in the sense that I got lots of rest for the upcoming weeks here at Kaleo and soon our missions trips. I spent most of my time during the reading break, reading and sleeping =P, none of the reading was school work mind you, since I have finished it all for this next month.
On the other side of the spectrum, it was a kind of depressing week away from the mother ship. Getting back into the real world, I realized how corrupt and messed up it is. Even us who call ourselves Christian are so screwed up out there. It is sad to see the example we are leaving on this world. That kind of got me down but now has energized me a bit to keep myself on my toes for life after Kaleo. I have seen what is out there and know its not going to be easy at all but look forward to the challenge with a new perspective. It is all for His glory and not mine, and I hope by living by that others will be encouraged to do, following in suite of Christs example.
I have to say though, I am glad to be back for the little bit that we are here for till we leave again. It is nice to see the farmiliar faces around camp and back into the grind here. What a awsome chance to really dig in.

Excited for the last stretch

Hey All

So our reading break has started and been pretty good so far. I spent my day visiting with a good old friend from years back, when I was in highschool... ya that was way back =P We spent the day just wandering around Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Crofton, and time ran out when we got to Shawnagan. It was a good day of catching up on the past years and remembering good times. A good start to a good week.

Mind you I will be doing a bit of reading and work, since it is reading break ;P

Hey all

This will be a shorty but a gooder.
So this week we had the bridge yet again. This time though was quite interesting. We set up our little campfire style bridge cause people have taken a liking to it, being able to look across at each other and seeing faces. So we go about setting that up, and our circle holds maybe 20 I'd say. Well tonight we get all practiced up and I was playing along on guitar to practice with that since I need all the practice I can get. And the people just start filing in. It was so crazy, I had to start setting up more chairs for all these people who were showing up. The crazy thing is most of them weren't even regulars, our regulars weren't even there! It was amazing we ended up with probably around 35-40 people for the Bridge! The biggest Bridge I've ever seen.

Im Stoked for next week!

Hey All

It has been not too long ago since my last post, but just feel like I should stick another one up right now. So what new and exciting new have I got for you guys...

Well Kaleo is coming to a end sooner than we think. It really is almost over with about 2 months left and a good 3 weeks of that is going to be away on a missions trip. It is kinda depressing to think that the bonds and friendships I have made over this past year are all going to be spread back across the Continent. Its going to be weird not walking out my bedroom door to see Jake in his Boxers, or Tom hobbling around on his Crutches... or Ben and that Bald head gleaming. The memories of this place will be eternally burnt into my memory forever guys. I look forward to living the fullest in these last days.

As for the future, I am busy busy getting things planned and organized. Yet at the same time, having no actual clue as to where I am going to end up. Right now as it stands I have been officially hired at Camp Imadene again as a lifeguard and unofficially hired at the Duncan pool. Also I have a interview at the Nanaimo pool and have already been unofficially hired at a camp up north called Homewood. So the options are there and never ending in opportunity and varying in different kinds. Homewood wants me as their photographer and part of program full time all year round while Imadene would be the summer as a lifeguard again. The thing is I really don't know what I want to do... I want to go back to school and get some sort of education I can fall back on if I ever would need it. I was thinking of the trades and getting a Electricians apprenticeship. That has to factor in there as well... and the fact that I ow my parents 10 grand for this year of Kaleo and my but is theirs until I pay it off.
Lots of prayer and thought has gone into this and is still going... probably will be until I am finally in it. It would be very helpful if you guys could keep me in your prayer for this, because I really get myself stressed wondering what to do and where God wants me. Help if any is always nice too =)

Back to Kaleo, well we just had a guys and girls night. The girls went off too the Qwanoes guest house while us guys stayed around here and partied it up in the downstairs. We had munchies and some rock band going and a game of settlers of Catan. So much fun! As well We took all the funiture down in the lounge and our bed sheets to make a massive fort. It was like being a kid again. I always loved building forts.
Later we had some more food and a really good guys talk that night. It has been a blessing conversing with all the guys here at Kaleo and getting deeper and deeper with one another.

That has been me lately. Thanks for reading and keep in touch, I love you guys and look forward to what God has instore for my next stage of life...

Hey All

So it has been another intense weekend here at Kaleo. The Vancouver team that I am a part of went up to Nanaimo to meet Aaron the person we will be working along side in Uculet for a portion of our missions trip. It was a very informative time and really good to get to know Aaron and his wife. He explained to us a little more in detail as to what we will be doing over on that end of the island. For the first week, we will be helping lead a VBS style camp, with music and games and snacks and bible lessons. I for one will be heading up the music portion of the week, leading the music and playing guitar. That for me is a huge undertaking because I am definately not confident in my musical abilities, especially when it comes to a instroment. Definately pray that God leads my fingers to the right chords and my strumming to the right pattern. As well let him take control of my voice as I sing the lyrics for the kids. Right now I am very stressed about this whole thing.
Other than that the weekend was very nice, our team came up with a acrinim for ourselves calling ourselves Team "EPIC" Energetically Praying In Community. That will be our focus for this trip and I really hope that us as a team will be encouraged to do this even now beforehand. If you can keep the preperation for our trip in your prayer and the hearts of those we will be encountering along our travels open that would be great. As well the hearts and minds of ourselves in a focus on God and his will. Right now it is hard with the work load here at Kaleo and all the distractions of life.

Week of classes

Hey All

We been busy with a week full of the OT (old testament) and relearning all of the bible stories. It seems like I am in Sunday school again, listening to the good old stories of old, except this time things are a little more in depth and intense. It has been really good and I have enjoyed just re-exploring my OT again.
Along with this course has come quite a bit of work including a film that we have to put together and show at the end of class. It is going to be so much fun once we get to watch it. That is going to be in the end of today's class. We have taken a whole bunch of the OT stories and turned it into a office style show. It is going to run around 30 min and should be great. After I am done here in class I will see about trying to put it on the bog for all of you guys to see. (I am the camera man)

Missions Fest

Hey All

So this past little while has been the missions fest weekend! All of us Kaleo went over on the Thursday. While most of the crew spent the night in a church, my missions group and I spend the night in the Inner Hope ministries home, so that we could get acquainted by the group there. It was really good, and I was able to get comfortable close with the one guy that they have living in the house at the moment. His name is Cage and has come to Qwanoes before as well, is trying to get into bible college this coming fall.
As for the missions fest part of this whole ordeal, I went to a few cemenars and they were good, but nothing too special. I actually sent most of my time hanging around the booths finding people I knew and catching up on life. I ended up running the Imadene booth for a good portion of the Friday and really quite enjoyed it. On Saturday though, I had basically gone to every booth at least twice and was really getting bored. So I decided to go check out all of the camp booths and see if I could get some info on them that I could possibly bring back with me to my camp. Well long story short, I got talking and a couple of camps have already tried recrouting me for their programs. Now I have a bunch of application forms for camps and for pools to fill out! This is very interesting and we will definately see where God leads me here, whether its to a camp or a pool or somewhere else? I really don't know but the optoins are endless!

Week of Prayer Observation

Hey All

Last semesters prayer week was a real battle of my emotions, and giving them over to God. It was a heart wrenching and life changing experience in that room. I spent many hours crying and yelling to God in frustration why things were so hard and why I hurt so much. God really taught me what it was to persevering through trials and consequences. To really give my all to him. Like James says perseverance has to run its full course for maturity to happen.
It has come to a very strange conclusion for me this past time of prayer in the prayer room. I am one who always has something on my mind, and never gets a rest from it. I think when I don't want to be thinking and my mind constantly processes things whatever the situation is. This week though it was so weird. I actually had nothing to think about or coming into my mind. Like I felt like there was something wrong with me, not having something to think on or of. My mind was at peace and it freaked me out! I don't recall a time I have had that before and I personally just couldn't comprehend the feeling.
Because of this peace that overwhelmed me I found myself getting extensive amounts of rest. Not just sleep but just sitting and listening to my audio bible through my headphones. As well I did fall asleep for 4 hours on the floor of the prayer room. Many of the guys tried to wake me but it was pointless, cause I was at such a peace that nobody could wake me up. Not that a deep sleep is rare for me, but just having the peace and comfort to lay out and sleep like that. It was probably some of the best rest I have gotten in a long time while being here at Kaleo.

Hey All

So we have been busy with getting some last minute school work done for the weekend. This whole weekend has been a kind of slur of homework and then the 24 hour week of prayer. Even though things seem to be going smoothly and according and I am ahead in my work, I still feel as though I am at a loss for time. Maybe it is the very fact that I have got so much done and I am looking at what the next couple weeks will be subjecting us too =P Our schedule is going to get crazier as the semester moves on.
Well the highlight of this weekend has been a specific youth event, that isn't actually a church organized even but still very significant and important. On Saturday evening us Kaleo from Cobble Hill had dinner and celebrated Levi's 11th birthday with him (our pastors son). We all had a blast, ate well, drank lots of coffee, watched the 'Astronaut Farmer' and sat around the Bekesza's living room just chit chatting about the Church, Kaleo, Classes and our aspirations for life after Kaleo is over. Later that night the girls went to sleep upstair and us guys slept in the living room and wrestled till the girls came down and scolded us back to bed =P. Not that that stopped us much anyways.
Today we spent our usual all day, church day, at Cobble Hill in the morning then getting a breif break in the afternoon and back at it for the Bridge in the evening. I would have to say even though it is a jam packed kind of day, I wouldn't want it any different. I love that church and the people there. The Bridge went fairly well but is still a little on the lacking side for people coming out to it. If you guys are close by Duncan or Cobble Hill or even know of someone who is looking for a nice low key evening servos on Sunday evenings at 7 we would be happy to see some new faces to welcome to the group.

God Bless

Only for those who Dare

If you are a squeamish kind of person you should not watch this because this is pretty graphic of my finger. It was really disgusting, you can see the chunk of it that was hanging off as it was being cleaned up and we began the stitching.

Hey All

It has been a week of catching up on school work, doctors appointments and then a bit of fun added in there too. This past weekend I was originally supposed to help out with the maintenance crew during a Youth leaders conference. But because of my recent injury to my left hand I was what they would say "incapable" to work with them. So instead they sent me to my room to rest and do something less strenuous with my time. What I did instead was try to type my school work out on my computer, and man that has become a new task. Now with my pinkie out of committing I have to learn how to type all over again. So that has slown my progress down quite a bit. But that is OK because I am still well ahead on my school work for now, and keeping it that way.
On Sunday, our Cobble Hill group got up early and drove out to the church. We were running the servos that morning as well as the youth servos in the evening. We were so tired after the week of snowboarding but managed to get it all together and organized, with the help of our youth. The servos went very well with Kristi on piano, Tom on Guitar, Jesse and I on vocal, with Levi on Drums.
After the good morning servos we all come home for a quick break from church before we had to go back. On the drive back my finger began to throb really bad, but I sat and bit the bullet for the ride home. It got so bad though by the time we got back that I litterally felt like puking; the pain had spread through my whole body. I ran to my room to get some pain killers and then headed to the dinning hall for some food, because I was really hungry, pain or no pain. Jesse was kind enough to cut my food up into bite size chunks for me. While in the middle of my meal the pain came back full force leaving me flat out on the table just moaning and soaking myself in tears of agony. I am not sure how long it lasted but I was there for about a half hour probably just biting my tounge in pain while the group there was praying for me. It was really cool though, because as soon as the guys had all finished praying over me the pain resided to a point where I coul breath properly and relax. I don't know if the drugs I took earlier were just kicking in but all I know is God answered those prayers somehow, right there and then. It was a amazing comfort that just overwhelmed my body.
After that epidemic I was exosted from just battling that pain, so I went to sleep in my room. I ended up missiong out on the Bridge servos that night because I was just too exosted from trying to recover from all the pain my finger was giving me. From the guy I hear it went very well, except it was kind of a small turn out this week. That was kind of disheartening, but then when you go to a small church of just about 100 people on a good day, you can somewhat understand. As well with a church that size, when a family that regularly attends is mission in action it leaves a big gap in the congergation. I think part of that emptyness was because the Siemens family being away left a large gap. We miss you guys a lot!
As for the rest of our week, Lech taught us the first day of Theology class and impressed, offended and challenged the group here. It was a great class and from the feedback, everyone loved him as well as peed themselves listening to him. I for one have Lech as my pastor at Cobble Hill so know what to expect, so his personality doesn't come so much as a shock to me. By the end of class though both Lech and all of us students were antsi from being stuck in a lecture for so long.
Last thing we have done so far was, we all went skating as a K group at the Fuller Lake skating rink. That was the first skating rink that I had a compatition in and won my first Gold metal! We all got out and goofed around and man did it feel nice to get back on my natural feet. I feel so much life with those skates on. I couldn't play hockey with the boys that day because of my finget but instead, I got to steal the attention from the girls by teaching them how to figure skate. It was so much fun. After a while of teaching I retought Danielle how to do a dance routine and then we practiced it together. We added a few of our own little things into it and at the end of the session shared it with the whole K group. It was soo much fun!! I miss skating soo much!

Good for the most part =P

Hey All

This past week the K group spent our time on the slopes of Mt. Washington. The condo was amazing as was the weather during the week. While all of you were down here in the cold fog, we had dazzling sunshine and positive 10 weather. We had some of the best air conditions I have ever experienced at Washington in my 10 years of going to that mountain.
The big bummer was the amount of snow that was up there. We basically had as much snow down here as they had up there. The runs were very icy and hard packed snow, making it very painful for falling on our bums. Luckily I have already been through that stage in my boarding career, so my bum was fine. It sure took its tole on the newbies though.
The trip was a lot of fun but definitely left its mark on kaleo. We had after the first two days, Jamie and Malayne in casts from broken wrists and Debra Suffering from a pretty bad concussion. I almost made it without incident, but my luck with injury never fails me. The last day I was doing some tricks in the turrain park. I launced myself off a jump and pulled a nice front toe grab. the problem is when I landed my back end hit first, smacking my front end down on the snow. My hand was still attatched to that front end of the board. Hands dont slide when pinned to the snow too well, but the blade of me snowboard didnt simpathise too much and proceeded to sice half of my pinkie off. The only thing holding it on was what was left of my glove and my figernail.

So overall it was a fun eventful week up at the mountain =s

Hey all

The first week of the next semester has been a great start! Being reunited with the group here at Kaleo was so good. I missed them so much over the break; the community is amazing. Just being able to walk out my room doors and seeing friends.
We started off our first week with a course in "Theology of Mission" and at the beginning of the week I really didn't know if I liked it at all. I thought, who is this guy trying to push his views of mission on us and was really not enjoying myself. But as the course progressed and he started to unfold mission and the biblical definitions of it, my ears were perked. The problem is we put a label on mission and say you have to go across the world to be on a mission for Christ, when really every breath and minute you spend on this earth should be a mission for Christ. Every person we talk to, every interaction, in our neighborhood, church, work and travels should be a mission to bring the message of God to others through word and action. We to often waist you time away on entertaining our time when we could be investing it on people that God loves.
How do we do this? There is an exostable list of things you can do from having coffee with a firend to building a house in africa. Or even just being an example of Christ in your school or job. God can use you anywhere any time as long as you are willing to take it on. We all are called to different mission as the body of Christ, so go and do it!!

Ya so that was my week, a very challenging one but at the same time good and thought provoking.

God Bless
Aaron

Hey All

Over my time at Kaleo I have learned and experienced more than in some of my past years. This first semester has been a time of understanding, humbling, discovery, healing and exploration. I have been challenged, to not just believe what I have been told but to discover it for myself and be able to back it up with what God says in His Word. Also I have been broken in many emotional and social ways through this experience more so than other years. It really amazes me how God can really teach someone when he or she strive to learn and are willing to learn. I have learned more in my past few years than I have ever learned in my lifetime. In this past semester I have learned more about God and from that, about everything else because of the desire listening to Gods teaching.
I have come to an understanding of my personal views as a Christian. I went to Kaleo not looking for a get back on track, or a battery recharge. I went, looking to become a better leader for God, eventually one day as a Husband and then a Father. The courses have really given me a better understanding of my views on some big perspectives I have been thinking on and dealing with all through my Christian life. It has been a really reaffirming semester for me, in the views I have of God and through that everything the way I view everyone around me. It hasn’t been easy figuring things out but then I need to understand if I rely on God he will reveal to me the things I need to understand when the time is right. I just need to focus on him in the meantime.
As well as a lot of understanding, God has shown me a fair amount of humility. When I first wanted to come to Kaleo I didn’t have the funds, and still I don’t really have them. My parents are paying a good portion of my tuition, but now I will have to not just commit to this year of studies but also probably a good year of work after this to pay off my folks. It has been humbling having to ask for help with funds, as well it has been humbling not being able to spend and go out and do the things the other students are able to do. When they all want to go out for coffee I stay behind to do my studies and because it is just something I can’t afford. Also I came into school with a confidence. That is not always bad but at the same time with too much confidence come a reliance on oneself rather than God and that is something I have been working on to balance so that my confidence doesn’t turn into a pride.
This school is not just your ordinary school either but an outdoor recreation and adventure program. We have had the opportunity to not just see God in the classroom but out in his creation, and that is the place I see him the best. We have done all kinds of things such as, Sailing on the Salts ships, Climbing Mt Albert Edward, Caving in Horn Lake, Surfing in Tofino, Talking with the Homeless in Victoria, and Camping in December at Mystic beach! Those are just some of the major trips we have done and there is a whole second semester of these. All of this stuff is stuff I already love to do and do a lot of. What is really neat is the opportunity to actually peer teach when we go out on these trips. I get to practice my leadership skills even when amongst my peers. For me personally being able to help someone learn something and then watch him or her gain the knowledge and the gratification on their face once they have accomplished something is so much better than doing myself. Also being out among Gods nature really has a relaxing effect on me that nothing man made can do for me.
Healing has been a huge part of this past semester as well. If you don’t know I came out of a very bad break up with a girl I adored with all my heart near the beginning of the school year. It has taken its toile on me even now. But God placed me at Kaleo not just for the academic and learning about him but because he knew the way things were going to work out. He has provided me with a family at Kaleo to really hold me up in a time of need. The cool but frustrating thing about this break up though is that I naturally wanted to block her out of my life and to not have anything to do with her. But God had other plans and I know He wants me to love her no matter what, to love her like He does. That was the hardest thing ever when she had hurt me as badly as she did. I won’t say I have done a perfect job or that it was easy but in keeping to Gods will I have been filled with a comfort that only He can give. Also I have realized this is an area of my life God wants and I haven’t been giving it to him until now. I know God wants the best for me, I just need to be patient for Him to give it to me when I am ready, in due time. Easier said than done though.
Last thing I will say is that this semester has been a real exploration as to what I am going to do with my life afterwards. To be totally honest I don’t know! I am quite happy not knowing what I will do. I have many options, I could work at Imadene, I could work at a pool in Duncan or Nanaimo, I could go back to school at Malaspina (VIU) and take Recreation Tourism… I could go across the world and do a YWAM, I could take a trade, or upgrade my license… The world is full of options and they are all at my fingertips. The big question is “God, where do you want me?” That will be the question I will be asking for the next semester. All I know is I am excited to see what and where that future is.
Thank you for all your prayers and support
